John T. Creahan joined Amicus Law Group in 2007 and
is a key member of our estate planning and tax-exempt organizations
practice.
As part of the Amicus estate planning group, John represents individual
and couples concerned about transferring their wealth to future
generations, and has extensive experience representing entrepreneurs,
corporations, LLCs, and partnerships in business, tax, and real
estate matters.
John has worked with tax-exempt organizations on business and
tax issues since the early 1990s. In addition, he represents both
donors and charitable donees on charitable trusts and other gifting
and fundraising techniques.
John is a graduate of the University of Washington School of Law (Order
of the Coif) and Brown University. He has worked at some of the
region's largest law firms, including Davis Wright Tremaine,
and at Lane Powell in a management position. John clerked for
Judge Sidney Volinn and Judge Philip Brandt of the Bankruptcy
Appellate Panel for the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals.
John and his wife Deb live in Seattle and have volunteered for many years
on behalf of non-profit organizations such as the Seattle Animal
Shelter and PAWS.
